Why hot soup tastes better than cold soup?

We all love  to and prefer to drink hot soup instead of cold soup. We can feel that taste when it is hot and we usually expect it to drink it during cold nights, during winter season. Also hot soups are good for health. You can feel that heat pass through your body when you drink it. Also some times we may burn our toungue if its too hot.
But according to PHYSICS - this question has been answered using a topic called Surface Tension. According to this hot soup has less surface tesnion I.e hot soup doesnt just stay in one place it gets spread out all over your tongue when you drink it. Therefore it covers a large area on your tongue due to less surface tension. Thus a lot of taste buds get to act on it. But cold soup has comapritively more surface tension. So it doesnt spread over a large area and doesnt feel so tasty too.
